  • A personal profile that can be used by the manager to align the employee’s skills and interests with planned projects or to enrich an assignment within a current job

  • An online development tool to help map a plan to develop areas required for a particular job position. Career workshops and online guides are available to help develop the plan

Employees and Leaders Nurtured Through Talent Management

Within LSI, employee and leadership development is supported by the talent management initiative. Performance management, one component, provides a structure for managing goal development with the objective of enhancing performance, maximizing capabilities, and attaining business results.

Through talent management we can rapidly align the growing talent of our employees with dynamic business opportunities. This fosters an environment of innovation so we can continue to enhance technologies and processes, meet aggressive schedules, and seize market opportunities.

Education and Training

Many LSI employees have achieved bachelor and advanced degrees at accredited universities with support from our education assistance programs. Because we encourage learning that benefits the employee and the company, many people participate in continuing education, technical training, seminars, online learning and other activities with the approval of their manager.

Author’s Award

The Author’s Award Program disburses approximately $100,000 annually in monetary awards to deserving authors.

Recognition Award and Patent Award Programs

The Recognition Award is given to employees whose exceptional efforts help achieve corporate goals. The Patent Award is granted to employees who produce an invention that is accepted for a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Both are cash awards.
