LSI Logic Names John Bendekovic Director, Military/Aerospace Marketing
MILPITAS, Calif., July 22, 2004 - LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today named John Bendekovic as director of Military/Aerospace Marketing and Business Development. Bendekovic will report to John D’Errico, executive vice president of Storage and Communications Components.
"John brings more than 17 years of sales, marketing and business development experience in the military/avionics and space industries," said D'Errico. "John's appointment comes at a time in which LSI Logic's RapidChipTM Platform ASIC is resonating with customers in a wide variety of markets. With RapidChip, LSI Logic is offering customers lower cost-of-entry, faster time-to-revenue and access to the company's extensive IP portfolio."
Most recently, Bendekovic was director of Worldwide Aerospace Sales and Business Development for Actel Corporation. Prior to his tenure at Actel, Bendekovic held senior business management positions at Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Loral Federal Systems and IBM National Federal Marketing.
Bendekovic received his bachelor of science degree in Engineering from Ohio State University and his MBA from George Washington University. He has extensive knowledge of the military/aerospace industry, US Federal procurement processes, Department of State/Commerce semiconductor export regulations and the inner workings of international military, avionics and space agencies.
