LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2004 - Today at the Consumer Electronics Show, LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI), a leader in multimedia processing for the Digital Home, and YesVideo, Inc., the market leader in automated digital media authoring, announced that they have collaborated to enable a new consumer-friendly feature for DVD recorders. By combining the YesDVD intelligent software solution with the LSI Logic DiMeNsionTM 8602 (DMN-8602) DVD recorder system processor, the two companies are making the automatic editing and conversion of home video easy to use for consumers and easy to implement for DVD recorder manufacturers. LSI Logic and YesVideo also announced today that Apex Digital is expected to be one of the first manufacturers to offer this feature.

The combined YesDVD/DMN-8602 solution enables DVD recorders to do more than record content from broadcast TV or from analog video, it allows consumers to quickly and easily create a video that looks like it has been professionally edited.
