LSI Logic Continues to Ease SAN Management for SMBs with the Latest Version of Mystorage Software

MILPITAS, Calif., September 21, 2004 - LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today introduced version 2.0 of its MyStorage management software for use with its Fibre Channel (FC) host bus adapters (HBAs). MyStorage 2.0 is now being phased into distributor kits and is available for immediate download from the LSI Logic Web site (www.lsilogic.com/mystorage)
MyStorage 2.0 enables administrators to locally or remotely manage LSI FC HBAs and features 3 click installation. The software provides simple point and click interface for monitoring FC connections and devices, upgrading firmware, event logging and health and diagnostic summaries. Web update links are also provided for simplified access to LSI Logic software upgrades. The software supports Windows 2000 and 2003, Red Hat Linux 3.0 and SuSe 8.0 Linux. LSI Logic separately licenses an add-on component called SmartPath, which provides adapter failover, path failover and failback services on the above-mentioned operating systems. OEMs are encouraged to contact LSI Logic for reseller access terms to the SmartPath add-on component.
